  • Letter Grading Guideline 2078 BS: This guideline, revised in 2022, stipulates that only those who score 35 in theory and 40 in practical exams will be graded using letters. Those scoring below these thresholds will be marked as NG.
  • Implementation: The letter grading system for SEE was first implemented in 2072 BS (2015/16).
  • New Curriculum: The grading system is designed to align with the new curriculum, which emphasizes skill development and critical thinking.
  • Implications: The letter grading system is intended to provide a more comprehensive assessment of student performance and encourage deeper learning.

NEB SEE 2080 Examination Schedule

National Examination Board Announces SEE Dates and Registration Statistics for 2080 Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The National Examination Board (NEB) of Nepal has announced the schedule for the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) for the year 2080. The exams will be held from Chaitra 15 to Chaitra 27, 2080. This decision was reached during a board meeting held on Magh 7, 2080, with the delay attributed to the Holi festival. A Total of 489,444 Students Registered for SEE 2080 The board has reported that a total of 489,444 individuals have successfully filled out registration forms for the exams. Of these, 246,440 are male, and 243,440 are female examinees. This represents a slight increase in the number of registered students compared to previous years. Registration Details by Region The registration details by region are as follows: New Curriculum and Grading System to be Implemented This year, the SEE exams will follow the new curriculum, which was introduced in 2076. The new curriculum places a greater emphasis on skill development and critical thinking. Additionally, student evaluation will be based on a grading system for the first time. Grades will be assigned to students scoring less than 35 percent. Those who do not pass in two or more subjects will have the opportunity to enhance their grades through a reevaluation exam. Implications of the New SEE Format The introduction of the new curriculum and grading system is a significant change for Nepali education. It is expected to challenge students to think more critically and creatively. The grading system may also put additional pressure on students to perform well. However, it is hoped that the new format will ultimately lead to improved educational outcomes for all students. Conclusion The announcement of the SEE dates and registration statistics has generated a lot of discussion among students, parents, and educators. Some are concerned about the challenges posed by the new curriculum and grading system. Others are hopeful that the changes will lead to a more effective education system. Only time will tell what the long-term impact of these changes will be. Additional Information I hope this blog article provides a comprehensive overview of the SEE 2080 exams.
