  • This perspective focuses on building machines that behave like humans, as in the Turing Test. If a machine’s behavior is indistinguishable from a human’s, it is considered intelligent.

2.) Thinking Humanly

  • This involves understanding how humans think and replicating those thought processes in machines. Cognitive modeling is often used to simulate human thought patterns.

3.) Acting Rationally

  • Acting rationally focuses on building machines that make the best possible decisions or perform actions to achieve specific goals, regardless of how humans would act.

4.) Thinking Rationally

  • Thinking rationally involves applying logic and reasoning to derive conclusions or solve problems, often based on mathematical models or formal systems.
