Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry

The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) is the umbrella organization of the private sector in Nepal, established in 1965 (2022 B.S.). It represents the interests of Nepal’s business community and acts as a bridge between the private sector and the government to promote industrial, commercial, and economic development in the country.

FNCCI is a non-governmental, non-profit organization that serves as the apex body of Nepal’s chambers of commerce and industry, business associations, and corporate members. Objectives of FNCCI:

Functions of FNCCI:

  1. Policy Advocacy:
    • Represents the private sector in government policy-making processes.
    • Provides policy recommendations to improve the business environment.
  2. Trade and Investment Promotion:
    • Organizes trade fairs, exhibitions, business meetings, and investment summits to attract investors and promote Nepalese products.
  3. Networking and Collaboration:
    • Builds strong relations with international chambers of commerce, development partners, and business organizations.
  4. Capacity Building:
    • Provides training, workshops, and seminars for entrepreneurs and business professionals to enhance their managerial and technical skills.
  5. Information and Research:
    • Conducts research and surveys on industrial and trade issues and publishes reports, journals, and bulletins.
  6. Dispute Resolution:
    • Helps resolve business disputes through dialogue, arbitration, and mediation among its members.
  7. SME Development:
    • Supports the growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by providing guidance, policy support, and access to markets.
  8. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):
    • Promotes responsible business practices and private sector involvement in social and community development activities.
